An climbing plant from Japan which will climb trellises and other supports by twining around. From the Gentian family this plant grows to around 90 cms or so and will keep it's leaves in a mild winter. Flowers are borne in mid to late summer and are a shade of lilac-purple, the whole plant being in flower for maybe 6 weeks.

Picture is of T. japonicum of which this is very similar.
