A rosette forming evergreen perennial which produces rosettes to around 2 inches wide. Each is pale green and, in limey soils, a deposit of lime can be seen around the edge of each leaf. Flowers are crisp white held on rigid stems, each has random red spotting throughout the flower. Similar to S. Spotted Dog but retains the green colour through the winter.
