William Brack Boyd discovered this plant in his garden in Linton just north of Edrom Nursery in the 1880s. The material sold here are a direct propagation from the oroginal plant. Looking somewhat gnarled in appearance the stems make a dense shrubby shape which is interesting in itself. Leaves are glaucous blue with a felty underside and around 2 cms wide. Flowers are the typical yellowish affair and borne in spring.Very slow growing.
