This is an easy species to grow being tolerant of wet or dry soils as long as the drainage is good. Foliage is lanceolate and quite leathery being greyish-silver with prominent veining. These are up to 14 cms long and around 1 to 2 cm wide, making loose rosettes. Flowers are held on wiry but rigid stems to a height of 20 cms or so. Many are borne and the colour is a good clean white with yellow stamens adding to the interest.  Pyrenees.
