Pulsatillas are long established perennials for the rock garden. Leaves rise just after the flowers in spring on this species. They are very deeply indented and at first appearance are completely furry but later expand to reveal their true form - finely serrated although this species is slightly more coarse than others listed here. Flowers are open bell like but held erect with a furry covering. Flower colour is a little variable but generally cream to yellow.
 Synonymous with Anemone flavescens.
