A hardy herbaceous or deciduous Primula which produces long mid green leaves with prominent veins and midrib. The flowers are borne on rigid stems which rise from the centre of each rosette. Flowers can be very numerous and are held in whorls up each stem, occasionally up to 7 in number. Each flower is funnel shaped, and has a scent lasting about one week.
