A hardy Primula which produces scalloped light green leaves with prominent veins and paler midrib. The flowers are borne on rigid stems which rise from the centre of each rosette. Flowers can be very numerous and are held all at the top of each stem, occasionally a second stem will rise from this cluster to flower later. Each flower is atypicaly flattened shape, outward facing and has a feint scent lasting about one week. Will tolerate full sun in the north of the country if the soil is very moist at all times. This species spreads by stolons and so can multiply readily in the right conditions.
