A species with rich green dissected fronds. Generally evergreen except in the harshest winters, growth of the new fronds begins in late spring with the new fronds taking several weeks to unfurl. Each is up to 3 pinnatifid (divided three times) but occasional fronds with a single division are present and a bit irregular.
