Polygonum vacciniifolium

An easily grown evergreen mat forming perennial from China. Foliage is evergreen and small at around 1 cm or so long and wide, this turns a firy red in late autumn and winter adding to the interest. Trailing stems will cover rocks or hang over walls making it an exceptional ground cover plant.

  Flowers are particularly attractive being a soft pink in colour and held on erect stems, lasting a considerable time and the plant produces multiple stems from the mat of growth.
