A native and more robust member of the genus with leaves reaching up to 20 cms wide or so. Each of the radiate leaflets can be up to 3 cms wide or more, deep green and with conspicuous veining, usually four are produced but occasionally 3 or 5. From the centre of each leaf (on mature plants) a flower is produced. This is generally green in colour with a greenish ovary and greenish-yellow anthers. The fruit produced after flowering is bluish in colour and opens to reveal the creamy seeds.
