Seed raised plants are offered here of this very eyecatching paeonia with striking flowers and finely dissected foliage. The leaves are the first the emerge in early spring, these are mid to deep green and so finely dissected they look rather filamentous. These are held on rigid stems which terminate in the single flowers. These can be up to 7 cms wide, bowl shaped and rich red in colour with bright yellow stamens. Although only one flower is produced per stem, many stems are produced per plant.
