A completely hardy evergreen perennial for a sunny spot where the leaves will stay near black year round. Each growth will produce a flower stem which has numerous flowers of a pale pinkish-purple followed by shining black berries. Multiplies readily into a solid clump and will spread in time. Best planted in the ground rather than in containers unless they're large.
