An attractive mat forming perennial with small rounded leaves emerging in early spring or persisting throughout the winter months in milder locations. The surface of each leaf tends to be covered with fine bristly hairs. Flowers are held on short racemes just above the foliage and are lilac-purple in colour. A Bleddyn & Sue collection.
