The long established Edelweiss. An easily grown plant which requires no special treatment to survive. Leaves are around 1 inch long and much narrower, making low growing mats of growth. Leaf colour is green although they are covered with fine white wooly hairs giving a greyish appearance. The flowers are borne in summer and are yellowish-white being surrounded by furry white bracts which last long after the flowers have finished. Numerous flowerheads are borne per plant. This new hybrid lasts has a better longevity than the species.
