A herbaceous perennial grown mainly for the foliage effect, it does however have attractive flowers. Foliage emerges in early spring from swollen roots. Colour is three-tone with the edges being green, an intermediate being a much paler green and the centre a rich vibrant creamy-yellow. Flowers are borne in mid summer on rigid stems, each stems carries numerous flowers of a tubular shape. Colour is lilac-purple and these are followed by green seed pods. A very nice plant with bright creamy variegation, basically like Blue Mouse Ears with a central creamy patch.
