An attractive evergreen perennial from Korea forming congested rosettes of rich green lance shaped foliage to 7 cms long and 1 cm wide or so. The flowers form in late winter which opens to allow the flower spike to extend to around 20 cms high or so. The flowers are a lilac-lavender colour, star shaped with narrow petals. Numerous flowers are held in each flowerhead, one flowerhead per stem but numerous stems per plant.
