An attractive evergreen perennial from the east forming congested rosettes of pale green lance shaped foliage to 15 cms long and 1 cm wide. A large flower bud begins to form in late winter which opens to allow the flower spike to extend to around 30 cms high or so. The flowers are a strong pink colour, star shaped with narrow petals. Numerous flowers are held in each flowerhead, one flowerhead per stem.
