A clump forming bulbous perennial which spreads steadily. Foliage emerges in spring, each leaf blade resembles those of grass being slightly bluish in colour. Ideal for containers and troughs or any well drained spot in the garden. Flowers rise on short stems, usually one flower per stem in the late summer to early autumn. These are over 2 cm wide and composed of 6 petals, colour is bright golden yellow, sometimes a bit orangey with a touch of red at the base of each petal.
