Rich small green evergreen leaves clasp the short stems which make a mat of growth only 1 cms or so in height. The larger of the shoots produce flowers which are held solitarily just above the foliage. More floriferous than the acaulis types of Gentian but each individual flower is smaller in every dimension and last about the same length of time. Very rich deep blue with a good longevity make these plants ideal for troughs etc. Young plants.
