An evergreen low growing shrub with branches forming dense mats of growth no higher than 3 cms. Some books will have us believe that this plant will attain a height of 30 cms, we have not seen a plant of this height and our original stock material came from a plant which was over 60 cms wide! Blue-green foliage is small and almost needle-like. Flowers are borne in summer at the stem tips in racemes of up to 20 or more, colour is bright yellow.
