An attractive herbaceous bulbous plant which besides attractive flowers has interesting foliage. This emerges in early spring and is strongly marked with brown spots on pale silvery green spoon-shaped leaves. The foliage is soon followed by the flower stems. Flowers are a strong violet-pink colour and borne on relatively short stems, the petals reflex back strongly.
