This is a much more reliable perennial than the species (Erigeron aureus) making tight tufts of green lanceolate foliage to 3 inches high. each leaf is deep glossy green and unless winters are hard they usually remain evergreen. Flowers are held individually on slender stems to 3cm or so above the foliage and are a rich golden yellow with a long longevity.
