A choice woodland perennial rising from the soil in early spring. First the foliage emerges which is deeply dissected and fern-like, colour is silvery-grey and has an unusual appearance being maybe half the size of the species. Each leaf is up to 10 cms long and half as wide being held on pinkish petioles. Flowers are held on dainty stems, up to 4 or so per stem which is pale pink in colour. Each flower is white with the a very slight pinkish hue and hangs from fine stems, pouch-like with yellow tips.
