A compact but spreading Campanula with finely hairy leaves. These emerge in spring on creeping stems which also carry the flowers. The flowers are borne along and at the tips of the relatively upright stems. They are bell shaped and a pale lavender blue in colour, very much larger than the proportion you would expect from a plant of this size. Flowering lasts for several weeks or longer in favourable sites. It will tolerate stony walls and positions in full sun provided that the soil does not dry out completely.
Has a reputation for being monocarpic which it can be, but generally if it has good drainage and a sunny site it will persist.
