This is an easy plant for a sheltered site and will grow well on a warm sheltered wall with some support. It is a twining climber and so will grow up canes or a trellis. Lanceolate foliage on wiry stems make the foil for the flowers which are followed by reddish purple fruits lasting for many weeks in the early autumn.
