Evergreen carpet forming perennial from South America. Deep green glossy foliage is composed of three, or occasionally five, leaflets shaped like a ducks foot, each leaflet terminating in a point. Flowers are individually un-impressive. However when we bear in mind that each flower is held in a cluster and each plant produces numerous clusters, the whole plant is covered in yellow flowers in summer. Impressive when allowed to grow over rocks or down walls etc.
