An easy bulbous plant to grow originating from Crete and the surrounding area. Attractive in both leaf and flower with the leaves emerging first. these being spear shaped and a rich glossy green, occasionally with silvery markings. Flowers are unusually sweetly scented and quite sizeable in a spathe form reaching maybe 40 cms high in good conditions. Best in light shade and a humusy type soil.
