This is a relatively unknown plant which was collected from Taiwan and is a smaller selection of the species. Having lanceolate matte green leaves on short stems to 30cms high which themselves grow from short rhizomes. These rhizomes are it's method of spreading although it can be slow growing.
 Flowers are white and nodding in the leaf axils followed by bright red fruits.
