This species is almost identical to A. obtusiloba except that the flowers are a clean white in colour with bluish backs. Foliage is deeply lobed and slightly hairy, emerging in early spring shortly before the first flowers. Flowering starts almost immediately with the largest flush initially around June. Sporadic flowering then occurs throughout the summer months until autumn when the frosts get heavy.
