Foliage is quite small for a Rhododendron, lance shaped, deep green when mature but reddish/bronze when young, and held on rigid stems up to a height of around 60 cms or so. Flowers are produced in early spring at the stem tips in dense clusters. These are funnel shaped, colour is soft pink being waxy in texture. Suitable for the smaller rock garden or shaded area in acid soil. The evergreen nature of these shrubs adds backbone to the garden especially throughout the winter months.
