An unusual form of this useful plant for the shadier areas of the rock garden or any shady spot, it will tolerate full sun if the soil is moist enough. Leaves are greyish-green and broadly grass-like spreading by rhizomes. Flowers are borne in early spring on stout flower stems, rarely rising above the foliage. Colour is rich pink and followed in warmer areas by red fruits. Formerley listed here as RBGE form.
