Product Details
Lovely and relatively easy to grow orchid from South East Asia (this is a hybrid but it's parents originate from East Asia!). Requiring an open compost mix with say 1 part Spagnum moss, 1 part fine bark (not composted) and one part coarse peat or perlite. Basically as long as the mix is free draining with relatively large pore spaces it will be fine. We add a little standard compost mix to our mixture because we are often away from them for periods when we are at shows and this helps to retain a little more water. Place them in a site which is dappled shade through the summer, in winter they may need protection if you're in a very cold site. We overwinter ours (in S.E.scotland) under polythene. Liquid feed helps growth and we'd recommend a balanced to high potash while they are in growth.

Edrom Nursery specialises in a range of plants which will grow in our climate here in South East Scotland, we try to grow plants which could be considered rare or unusual. Many of these are from China and Japan but we supply plants from all over the world. These include plants from the genera:- Cypripedium Calanthe Gentiana Meconopsis Lilium Pleione Daphne Adonis Allium Polygonatum Podophyllum Iris Oxalis Narcissus Mitella Picea Pulsatilla Ramonda Prunus Sempervivum Primula Trillium Rhodohypoxis Rhodohypoxis Salvia Salix Erythronium Erodium Helleborus Hepatica japonica Helianthemum Hylomecon Impatiens Leutkea Kirengeshoma Maianthemum Mazus Paeonia Omphalodes Penstemon Rhododendron Saxifraga Scutellaria Sebaea Teucrium Soldanella Veronica Ypsilandra Vancouveria Viola Athyrium Dryopteris Cardiocrinum Caltha Carex Codonopsis Convallaria amongst many others.
