This is a rare species only found in Japan being a little larger than our regular Edelweiss.
An easily grown plant which requires no special treatment to survive. Leaves are around 4cms long and much narrower, making low growing mats of growth. Leaf colour is green although they are covered with fine white wooly hairs giving a greyish appearance. The flowers are borne in summer and are yellowish-white being surrounded by furry white bracts which last long after the flowers have finished. Numerous flowerheads are borne per plant. Flowers on this species are larger than our normal Edelweiss.
