Product Details
A rarely offered herbaceous perennial from the Pyrenees which deserves a much better recognition.
Completely herbaceous in nature it grows on well drained soils in full sun. Growth beginning early in the year starting with the strongly serrated foliage. This is light green and very soft to touch, making dense mounds from which grow the flower stems.
Flowers are like pale blue/violet thistle heads but very soft unlike thistles! These are followed by the decorative seed heads which erupt later spreading clusters of seed rather like tumbeweed. They will germinate but not in the garden we find, they will need to be collected and cleaned.
