Evergreen carpet forming perennial from South America. Deep green glossy foliage is composed of three, or occasionally five, leaflets shaped like a ducks foot, each leaflet terminating in a point. Flowers are individually un-impressive. However when we bear in mind that each flower is held in a cluster and each plant produces numerous clusters, the whole plant is covered in yellow flowers in summer. Impressive when allowed to grow over rocks or down walls etc. Photo is of A. lycopodioides which is almost identical!
